Le premier concours d’entrée à Saint-Cyr Coëtquidan remonte à 1945. l’Ecole Spéciale Militaire Interarm est créé avec la première promotion "Nouveau Bahut".

Les sept premières promotions ESMIA  restaient deux ans à Coëtquida

• 1945 - 1947 : Promotion NOUVEAU BAHUT
• 1946 - 1948 : Promotion Général LECLERC
• 1947 - 1949 : Promotion RHIN ET DANUBE
• 1948 - 1950 : Promotion Général FRERE
• 1949 - 1951 : Promotion GARIGLIANO
• 1950 - 1952 : Promotion EXTREME-ORIENT
• 1951 - 1953 : Promotion Maréchal DE LATTRE
